A freeware Microsoft Windows-based utility written in C using Microsoft Visual C . It has been tested under Windows 95, 98, NT4 (sp6) Workstation, Windows 2000 Professional and Windows XP.
Its purpose is to act as a simple "mini-install" program useful for moving files off a data CD or DVD (optical drives) onto a user's hard disk. In the process it removes the read-only attribute of any files copied. Whilst it might work on some systems for audio CDs or video DVDs it isn't intended for that purpose.
The users chooses the source drive and can change, if required, the parent drive and directory path and specify the identity of the new directory into which extraction will occur.
